This is the LeeWay WorkShop
| This is a picture of my shop unfinished. I consider this to be my sanctuary. This is where I relieve everyday stresses of the world. The actual shop is only 16' by 16', but I sometimes think its a good size
Man! I was mistaken when I wrote that? Now its not nearly enough room.
It is attached to an 8' by 16' store bought
storage shed, to which I built an 8' by 16' lean-to type storage building
for yard machines and some lumber storage. My wife's storage is in the
store-bought shed along with the usual household storage and some of the
wood working stuff that I don't use that often.

To the left is a shot of the back of the shop in the Spring. Below is how my shop looks in the summer currently. It looks a little like a jungle with all the bananas, lillies, squash and cucumbers growing behind it. Yes, The grass needs cutting too. |
| I have been receiving quite a few e-mails recently that seem to have been overly concerned about how effective and appealing a larger size can be. After a lot of encouragement from these e-mails, I have determined that size does indeed matter. Therefore, the plan is for me to increase the size of my shop in February, 2004 2005? to 24' by 48'. I will be building it in a pole barn style. Set the poles first. Steel trusses are bolted to these posts. Then the roofing, walls and wood floor for most of it. Stay tuned for more updates. As of today, 8/9/04, I still plan on building a larger shop. My initial plans were just delayed. |
